Just opened this:

One of the best beers I've ever had, maybe even the best one. I take back the thing about England being retarded. You guys can have your silly porn laws and your historic long S's as long as you make this.

Good Turkish beer, only one of a dozen package stores near me carry it and only when I'm lucky.

Smitticks Irish Ale - Bold, but not as much of an aftertaste as Guinness

Roanoke Railhouse - A local Microbrewery with an excellent dark brew

You must not go out much if you think NZ beers lack variety

Sam Smith is indeed a fabulous stoudt. For my everyday beer ordinaire, however, I stick with the USA's oldest brewery:

Yuengling Lager, their most widely distributed brew, is too sweet for me. Go with the original Yuengling Premium. Lord Chesterfield Ale is nice hoppy brew, great in hot weather. If you're up dis way, I'll buy you a round.

When I was in high school / college, all you could get was swill from the big national and regional brewers. Nowadays, any decent sized town has at least one micro brewery. The variety is amazing. And, Sam Adams is a helluva good mass produced beer.

These are wonderful times we live in.

Ninkasi produces two of my favorite beers, Total Domination and Tricerahops.

Tricerahops is my favorite beer but is a few bucks more expensive than others so I tend to limit myself to one or two a week.

Hoegaarden's my fave

It's a smooth Belgian wheat beer. I usually only get to drink it when I drive an hour round trip to Jacksonville Beach. But after 6mos of fighting with my local ABC, they order a case a month for me...
