Yeah, I don't think Keith understands enough about technology to realize that the price of 32 GB of flash is outrageously expensive. Even 16 G is up there. Also, it is the quality of the flash as well, you have things to consider such as seek time and re-writability as well, flash is not a hard drive and will eventually be unable to be written to. However the flash memory in Iphones/Touches is very high end compared to what other manufacturers use.

It desperately needed the speed boost. It was way underpowered for the flashy software it was running. My Palm V is much snappier than the regular iPhone. Snappy is good when you need to quickly open a note taking, contact, or calendar app.

If they put the new faster hardware in the touch I'll buy one. It will make the touch a great PDA (it already is but it's kinda sluggish, I always go to my memo pad before the ipod which wasn't true when I carried a palm OS 3 device).

I'll not be geting an iPhone until the service price comes down a lot. Paying $100-$120/month for slow internet that can't be piped to a laptop is absurd. If they allowed tethering and get speeds up, I'll ditch my land line and DSL for one of these.

If you are at all familiar with MACS you may want to stay away fromt that 13" MBP. Just get the 15". I had a bunch of trouble with both the 12" MBP's I've had. Well, a lot of trouble in the MAC world. Still no comparision to the trouble with a windows box.

On the 3GS, I'll upgrade only because I have killed my blackberry curve and the 8800 my buddy let me hold. I qualify for an upgrade now. I'll have to buy some form of super case because I'm so clumsy. Any recommendations?

I just ordered my 16GB 3Gs. I've had Sprint for the past 4 years with my family and they have always tried to mess with us. I had a treo for the past 2 years and I considered getting the Palm Pre since my contract has been up for a while but it just didn't seem worth it. My step dad wanted an iPhone too, and I'm a college stage manager so my phone is pretty much my life line. It just seemed worth it even though Sprint is by far the cheapest option after we researched everything for weeks.

I really suggest that you get this. I got one from the Apple Store in Oklahoma City. It does not add a lot of bulk to the phone plus it has survived a couple of drops. If you google the Griffin Reveal, you will find a few reviews about the case. Also checkout HowardForums, for loads of tips and tricks. They also have a lot of case recommendations.
