Not quite... The harddrive based iPods have a flash memory buffer to minimize the amount of time the harddrive has to spin. The nano & shuffle ONLY use flash memory - so no moving parts = no need for a buffer. Personally, I would buy the nano over the shuffle any day... |

They will only work with drag and drop. I have copied an episode onto the shuffle using drag and drop in the past. I definitely plan to get another Ipod to replace the stolen one, but I need over 20G. I'm a bit hesitant to get a refurb because of what I read on this board once about Ipods only lasting 1.5 years by design. I also wouldn't mind getting the full warranty from apple for new stuff. Apple warranty service is awesome if you have a problem on new stuff. When I bought the last Ipod, it died after a week. I filled out a form on the apple site on a Sunday afternoon, and they delivered an empty freight-paid return box the next business day (tuesday morning) to my office. I dropped the package at the shipper that tuesday afternoon and I had a new Ipod at my office on thursday morning! Died Sunday and had a new one Thursday, full return process. The new generation 30gig is widely available for about $270 new right now, I figure they'll drop another $40 or more when the next generation comes out, I'm trying to be patient. |
