iTunes 9 requires you to install Safari...again

I didn't have to install safari, I've never had to on either xp or vista. I kind of annoys me that the option to download it stays in the the list of possible things do download & that I can't premenantly delete the option but windows installer does the same thing.

Why are people sheep for liking ipod & itunes? I love my ipod, itunes annoys me at times but all the other music players have aspects that annoy me. Unless I was a programmer and able to build my own media player with all the elements I like & none of the ones I don't then none of them are going to be perfect for me. Sure some people buy an ipod because they are popular & don't want to be left out but some people research what mp3 player they want to buy and buy the one that best suits their needs does that make them sheep?

Keith and the Girl are the most popular podcast so obviously everyone who listens to them are sheep. If you compliment them on what they've done then you are just going with the crown and not being an individual.

Spooky said it, thats always his go to argument when most people disagree with him.

But it does annoy me that apple gets a free pass on certain things, its a computer, its still gonna have problems they're still trying to make money. No OS is out to make you happy they're all out to make money.

Thats not really what I said, I was speculating about the proportions of a type of people in two populations. But yes, when people tell me I am wrong and can't say why for any other reason than it is popular to say, I consider those people sheep, and they bring nothing but echos to discussion, which is pretty much a waste of everyone's time. It's a pet peeve of mine that I am very vocal about. That, and graphic designers that have no ability to draw.

If you want to learn how to deal with people like me, there was a very good article that sums things up, aimed primarily at managers dealing with the IT staff. Read it here. (It's a pretty interesting read even if you don't manage)

If people want to continue with their weird little coping mechanisms whenever they get their ass handed to them in the forums(go to arguments, pft), whatever, I have become pretty good at separating the wheat from the chaff over the years.

Is it just me or has Apple caught on to how people were making custom ringtones by just converting an MP3 to ACC then renaming it M4R?

No matter what i try (all processes i've tried worked with iTunes 8) it just won't work. They show up and work in iTunes, but they just don't sync.

It's beyond infuriating.

I couldn't get it to work last week just after I got iTunes 9, but then all of sudden it worked again!

I did: Option > select start/stop > convert to AAC > delete the file in iTunes (but keep, don't trash) > find it in Finder/Explorer > double click to add to iTunes > sync!

Double check that they appear in the 'Ringtone' section of iTunes. That will ensure that they sync. The biggest problem I had was forgetting to delete the file from iTunes before finding it/re-adding it.

Yep, did all that including testing it with a few different lengths; 1 min, 45 seconds, 30 seconds and a 15 second one. They would show in the Ringtones menu, some even showed in the iPhone menu under the Ringtones tab but they just wouldn't sync. I tried unselecting all the ringtones and only syncing this new one but still nope. Nothing working except a website Barroni showed me.. Audiko.com

I'm determined to get it to finally work like before though, it's just ridiculous.
