History of Keith and The Girl

Keith and The Girl is a popular comedy podcast that began on 7 March 2005. It is hosted by comedian Keith Malley and singer Chemda, an unmarried couple living in Queens, New York. In the show, which usually has a length of an hour or more, they talk about their lives and current events in humorous and unrestrained fashion. As described by Keith and Chemda themselves in the show's tagline, Keith and his girlfriend talk shit.

Keith and The Girl has consistently been a top-ten ranked podcast at Podcast Alley, reaching a top-5 spot each month for the past two years. The show has 35,000 listeners daily as of March 2007. The show's media files are hosted on LibSyn/Wizzard Media. The podcast's popularity has peaked at times to the 5,000th daily traffic rank according to Alexa. Recently they received the award for best Podcast in the Mature Comedy Category, and also People's Choice, for best Podcast of the year.

After just a year performing stand-up, Keith was crowned the 2004 grand prize winner at the prestigious World Comedy Laugh Off in New York City. Tracks from his four CD/DVDs, Coming of Age, Children's Party Songs, Happy to Serve You and Point/Counterpoint (2004 - 2007), are currently in high rotation on XM Satellite Radio.

Keith Malley is also the author of The Great American Novel, which, as an early draft, continues its 8-year run as the most downloaded book in history (#2: Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol). The finished full autobiography, from birth to age 30, will be available in hard copy and as an audio CD (read by Keith) this year.

Chemda (The Girl)

Chemda made her first professional appearance in 1995 on well-known reggae artist Dr. Israel's second album. Since then, she was the lead singer and choreographer for Mighty Dub Katz; featured on Comedy Central aside comedian Jeff Ross; and, teamed up with Rhys Fulber (formally of Front Line Assembly) for Conjure One as writer and singer, with songs featured on ESPN and EA Sports’ FIFA 2002.

Along with recent European tours, Chemda completed a US/Canadian tour as the sole vocalist for Conjure One, performing in venues such as Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, BC and Irving Plaza, New York, NY. She has recorded vocals for the follow-up album to Conjure One entitled Extraordinary Ways.

Later that year, Chemda also wrote and sang on the album Patterns of War as part of the new dub band Dreadtone International. Chemda recently finished recording the CD for the rock opera Victory in Defeat and continues to write and collaborate with various artists around the world.

Humans United Against Robots (HUAR) is an organization founded by Keith to protect humanity from the impending robot uprising.

Brumski

The exclamation said before reaching out, grabbing and squeezing a man's testicles. He can prevent said attack by exclaiming, "No Brumski." This game was outlined in Keith's first standup CD/DVD "Coming of Age."

Suck a Dick Wednesday

A derivative of Opie and Anthony's "Whip 'em Out Wednesday", where if a woman sees the "WOW" sticker, she is supposed to flash her breasts. Keith one-upped the idea so that if a female encounters another listener wearing a KATG shirt, she is supposed to give him a blow job. Since the original show, Suck a Dick Wednesday, many listeners have called or written in relating their personal stories. These include a 13 year-old who was the inspiration for a show titled Baby's First Blow Job.
