KATG comedians in New York, Oct 10-12

Hi, I am an infrequent poster on these here forums but I have a question or two that some of you kind souls may like to help me with. I am an Aussie visiting New York as part of a long holiday during the month of October. I would like to:

(a) find an area with a few hotels which is near the action in comedy clubs, so I can make it to a bunch of comedy shows by KATG characters;
(b) find out who's playing where on what nights, so I can do a KATG comedian crawl!

I am finding it a bit hard to locate good hotels in Astoria as that's where I hear some of them live, but am I on the wrong track in that they mostly don't perform there? Is there a hotbed of comedy that I should be looking at within Manhattan?

Victor and Diane's show NYC Talent Show is on at Bowery on Monday nights. I went when I visited NYC and it was definitely a good time.
