Installing from the site appears to be broken for me too, on both machines. One Win 7 (Opera 10), one XP (Chrome). Manual installs work.

New site is nifty

The install badge requires flash player 10

Nah, I'm on 10. Checked my plug-ins list to see if 9 dlls were lingering, but there's none.

just downloaded it

it's GREAT! i loves it already

just means i don't have to open up firefox to check out the forums AND i got a nifty KaTG icon in the dock

I tried upgrading(from the site) on xp 1.6.0 to 1.6.2 and it worked fine.
i'm stumped, i'll keep looking into it, but i'm stumped.

Alright so it looks like the new site disabled some of the auto install-ness of the app..

anyone who has problems installing it from the new site, can go here:

I'll update the links, and so on over the next couple days, if anyone still has issues let me know.

the technical explanation:
Seems significant parts of the auto install procedure, especially if you don't already have air installed have to be in html/javascript.. making it impossible.. or at least convoluted and stupid to try embed the auto install badge in a multi page flex app.

just put up v1.6.3

- downloading episodes uses very little memory now.
- it remembers where you stopped listening to an episode like itunes
- interface tweaks
- improved the feedback
- once you send a feedback your name and location are remembered
- decreased overall memory footprint

note: While i fixed the memory issue relating to downloading the 74 hour parts, there doesn't seem to be a way to play them unless you have massive amounts of free memory(i'm guessing, maybe flash/air has some kind of memory limit as well), so i'm taking the links to the 74 hour podcast out of 'Extras' for now.
