Ok so I gave it a thorough read and it appears you are correct. A server does need to collect device tokens and then issue push notifications to each device, one at a time. I think the move is to wait til 3.0 hits and see how people are solving this. I'm sure more than a few solutions will be published to just attach these functions to some existing server architecture.

Writing a proper server from nothing is totally out of hand, but if nobody is publishing anything worthwhile there are some really well documented http servers written in python and other friendly languages that have all the connection protocols already worked out and have support for raw sockets. I think that's how I would do it. (I have a preference for Python do to it being the greatest thing ever in the world)

So I've been preparing a version of the app with no twitter and no youtube in case something like THIS goes down.

I've also started working on using redirects to get the twitter feeds into the app instead of direct URLs. This will let me swap in and out less offensive accounts during review periods.

So I just upgraded to the newest XCode beta, which requires a new cert, so I have to revoke the old one. Not sure what will happen with people who app installed right now, but I'll post a build with the new cert as soon as I get things working again.

New build with new mobileprovision. You'll probably want to uninstall the old app before installing this one. The configuration utility is very useful if you get jammed up with conflicting provisions.

Just was wondering when the KATG App will be available for the iPhone 2.2.1 OS? Is it going to be an App Store distibution or an ad-hoc distribution?
