I have seriously considered that, but I don't want there to be a situation where the indicators that I use to determine if the show is live fail and the user can't access the play button to bypass the indicator. I prefer to just make it available instead of doing complicated fallback what have you or having some kind of show the play button button.

Ok, just to try this, if people could send in emails requesting that app review give the app another look that might help. They completely ignore my emails, but maybe if there's a bunch they'll give it another look.
Here's a form letter you can send to appreview@apple.com Quote:

Can you pull the next live show data from elsewhere and display it in the 'feed is not live' error box at all? Even if it's an expensive process I wouldn't care, because if you try to play the stream when you can clearly see it's not on you deserve it

When I'm feeling like doing something, beside reading these swamp thing comics I just bought, I'll be adding a countdown timer on the main on air page so putting it in the error seems redundant.

Also, if you've not done it already, an option to set your timezone would be really helpful. I guess if it's a countdown then it's not much of an issue, but if you have the actual time displayed anywhere I would prefer to see it in GMT than EST.

As far as timezone, the app already corrects for time zone. |

So I downloaded the android sdk today just to fiddle and I gotta say
(Almost) COMPLETE SHIT It's not intuitive, it's not developed in house, doing simple stuff like downloading and opening a sample app is shit debugging is shit shit shit shit The phone apps are written in java, which is an ok language, and the frameworks are sensible enough, but until they come up a robust IDE I will be steering very very clear of android. Not sure how they arrived at eclipse (I guess it's popular) but I can't stand it. |
