KATG iPhone App Take 2

So I have a functional feedback page, in large part due to the efforts of TheGrundle, but Michael has informed me that the POST request I am using will probably eventually cause an error at the server end and become ignored. I am waiting to see how to solve this before I publish the new build.

Objective-C is powerful and can do a lot of cool shit but I miss python for doing higher level shit like parsing text. I would kill for a str.find() or str[x][o:y] to grab some text I want out of a post request. Instead I have to import this big fuckin framework that I do not understand yet and stare at it for hours.

Actually picard is working on the layout and design stuff. I'm a coder not a designer so I'm waiting on that stuff from him.

Upcoming KATG events (possibly w/ calender integration)

Twitter Tab:
View Twitters from KATG

Youtube tab:
Mobile Youtube interface w/ KATG vids

Move live show tab into navigation bar

Past shows tab:
Past shows with notes, pics and playback (I am putting this off until 1.1 because the iPhone 3.0 SDK doesn't have the same data streaming restrictions as 2.2 and I don't want to fight that fight)

Twitter tab:
Ability to use your twitter account to post tweets

Store tab:
Mobile interface to KATG store that exits to safari for paypal transaction

Integrate in app transactions (This will be last because e-commerce means evaluating the app for security in detail)

I posted a new build with feedback support, I've been doing a lot of under the hood stuff so it's not visually too different. I took out the forums and old show and added twitter. I still have lots to do with events and twitter but I've made a lot of progress and the app is moving along smoothly.

Instead of twitter, how about a screen for updates of various sorts? Like Keith's twitter, Chemda's, and a portal for either of them to make announcements directly to the app?

Also, for the feedback, it would be cool if you just entered your info the once when you first start the app, and it auto populates those fields in the background, just displaying the comment entry form?

Make sure the core functionality works and you can slowly start adding features later. But even just getting katg into the App Store will draw some attention and hopefully new listeners.

Maybe. A lot of people like to make the jokes with name and location so keeping them in the foreground seems good. I do intend to make the comment box multi row.
