So 3.1 is supposedly out for developers, but I just logged in and there's nothing there. Anybody see anything different?


Is this what's in the next iPhone update?

There should be a button in the top, where you used to be able to switch between 2.2.1 and 3.0, now it's 3.0 and 3.1.

From the diffs, it seems as though the only new thing is support for video on the 3GS...

It isn't backwards compatible with 3.0 though:

iPhone SDK 3.1 beta can not be used for submitting iPhone OS 2.2.1 or iPhone OS 3.0 applications to the App Store.

it's fucked up that they stop reviewing it after finding an infraction, and it doesn't make sense either, it would save everyone involved lots of time to just do it in one go instead of in stages of submitting and reviewing.

fstream has a toggle in its settings to allow streaming over 3G, is it possible that the reviewer was being coy and you can stream over 3G just not automatically/without the user explicitly setting that option.

i think as part of their idiot proofing strategy they want people that don't know what the difference between wifi and 3G is not to go over their cell data limits without knowing it and come back to apple saying that they aren't liable.

btw thanks for sacrificing your sanity and dealing with these apple idiots, it's much appreciated

Doubt it to be honest. Tuner works perfectly fine over 3G without setting any preference.

It may or may not make a difference, but I've been stalling on doing a preferences bundle anyway so this weekend I will cook one up and include that. Maybe I'll get lucky and the dummy won't check in settings and realize that it can work over 3G.
