Please help this technophobe!

I want to be able to edit pics so i can put a pic of, oh, say devilishone's face on my kitty, but i need some new software. Photoshop apparently cost $150! no program is worth that kind of money!

What are you all using to edit/cut/paste pics together ?

Or I can just do it for you ;]) Granted that's not the idea cos I'm sure you want to learn to do it for yourself etc, but still, offers there until you can find a copy of photoshop for nothing ;])

msPaint works fine. it lacks some fine tuning and esoteric tools that photoshop has, but you can get the job done just fine. you can manipulate images, color time stuff, actually paint, use masks. and it comes with windows. if you cant work msPaint, dont expect to do much in photoshop either. sorta like if you cant drive camero, dont expect to be amazing in a ferrari.

and adobe illustrator is horrible. when will adobe learn how to make a good vector based program? flash is better than illustrator..../sigh.

I dont know shit about photoshop, but you cant do what she wants to do in paint and I do know that you can do it in photoshop was basic knowledge of it, because I have basic knowledge of it and I can do that.
