But, let's get real. Friendly donations raised to replace some shit that got damaged by god because he hates you isn't on the same plane as selling / drawing for donations. God hates me plenty. and when my house burns down, i'd like to think that some of my buddies might throw me a buck or two. And, I suck at drawing. A donated sketch of what my house USED to look like might look nice hanging next to my bunk at the salvation army. That said. I don't have a problem with what latta is doing so much. He's drawing avatars. whoop. I think that the community is controlling itself for the most part. Boring threads do find themselves way down the thread list, and I don't ever go to page 3. Fuck youz. I'm old now. I can babble if I want. I'm glad that JessNYC didn't sell any of her hand knitted toe warmers.

While the conversation about "where the line is" is interesting, can a new thread please be started to discuss it? Spooky, if this conversation was never supposed to be about Lattaland himself, then it didn't need to be in this specific thread. I do want to hear this topic discussed more, but this thread was just supposed to be about looking at drawings of KATG forum members.

I was among those who requested work from Latta, paid for it (I don't like "donate" frankly), and am happy with the result. It could've taken place on the forum or off I suppose, because as soon as the discussion got detailed, it went to email. I have enjoyed seeing all his renditions here and watching them pop up as avatars, where they generally raise the level of humor. Newsy, feel free to borrow some of my happy, I've got enough to go around.
