Kelly and Lindsey is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the purposes of Kelly and Lindsey must be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Kelly and Lindsey (kellyandlindsey.com) met in an Upright Citizen’s Brigade improv class and Fell in Love. In a non-lesbian way.

As female comediennes, we know we can’t wait for the work to come to us, we have to create our own. We’ve written the sketches, we’ve performed the play, we’ve participated in festivals and created hilarious videos, and now it’s time to take on the web series! (And if someone wants to develop it into a hit TV show, hey-we won’t complain!)

The web series will be bigger and better than anything we’ve done so far! It’s the story of two sexy, off-beat twentysomethings who live in New York and who will do just about anything to find fame, fortune, and true love. (But they’ll settle for a little recognition from Kareem at the bodega, enough money to pay rent, and mediocre sex from the bartender down the street.) Think Bridesmaids meets 2 Broke Girls except this is the real 2 Broke Girls, not the LA sitcom version. (And seriously … we’re broke.)

This is where you come in! We need to raise $4,000 total to make the project come to life. We did a live fundraiser in September, raising almost $1,000. With this Indiegogo campaign we need to raise the other $3,000. The money will go to our crew, director, director of photography, hair and makeup, sound and lights, food for the cast and crew, transportation, editing, etc. We are asking all of the actors (including us) to work for free, and they have graciously agreed.

We plan to launch the series on our website and on youtube in February 2013, and hit the festival circuit throughout the year, including New Media Film Festival, New York Television Festival, Urban Mediamakers Film Festival, NexTv Web Series & Indie Film Competition, HOLLYWEB web series festival, among others to create a wider fan base and hopefully garner recognition from the industry!

We are so proud of the footage we've shot so far, now we need the rest of the money to make this all come to life. NO donation is too small or large-believe us, every little bit helps! $5, $10, $20 $35, $50 or $100, whatever you can afford to donate will help us tremendously! If 300 people give us 10 dollars, we’ve done it! If 120 people give us $25 we are golden! We need the money by December 21st, or we cannot finish this project!
