She knows I'm not the type of person to get into this psychobabble stuff and said it would mean a lot if I went so I'm going but am nervous about what I'm getting myself into. Has anyone had experience with this place? I know they have a set up in L.A. and New York.

Its supposed to make you more open to bettering yourself or something but it also makes you contact people from your past and apologize (you're always wrong..?) and basically calls you out for being an asshole who cares about shit that doesn't matter. It seems looney tunes to me.

Thoughts?
Anything that tortures you into submission by withholding food/sleep/family/etc (scientology, army, catholic church) is a scam/cult

Not a very hardcore cult as such things go, but many cult-like aspects. Stay in it long enough and you will only really relate to others that have bought-in and adopted the ideology and language as much as you have.

The 'bring-your-friends' night is a (very) hard sell session - not a nice 'graduation'. Went once, and the people almost literally would not take no for an answer.

You pay (a lot) to take the initial weekend class, and if you get sucked in you pay more and more to take higher level classes. If you pay enough you get the opportunity to rise through the ranks, get more involved, and provide ridiculous amounts of free labor - all for a for-profit enterprise.

So, did you go?
So the Pepsi to the Coke that is Scientology?

My friend had just finished the advanced course, for that much money I just bought a puppy so I guess we all find happiness in different places..

I did it just to findout that How I was ignoring the problem with my dad. I knew before the programme that I dont have good relation with him. But it is only forum I realised that what impact that had on his health and mind along with the family. I found the course worth as I could see our relation from totally different angle. Many in my batch were getting breakthroughs some did not get it. It is definitely not cult. I have shared my heart here > Is Landmark Forum a Cult or MLM scam? | Online Guide

The only things I did not like is....
1) No arrangement of lunch and dinner when they want participants to finish it on time and reach the venue punctually.
2) Using people to work as voluntarily for profit making activities they are doing
Are you a new account on this forum trying to upsell us on a scam? Is this really the new scientology where we get infiltrated off google search pings?

Such a random response for a brand new forums member...

==SCAM

I JUST finished managing a professional offsite for development. Nowhere did we ask our employees to recruit their friends into our mindset, much less when we dove into deep things like their life path....

We PAID THEM to be professionally developed AND I provided food, drink, coffee, etc on schedule.

Check yourself bot..
