Is this legit?

Hi there, people of the KATG world

I have never posted a thread before so hopefully this all goes well... Im a 17 year old male living in Oxford in the UK and wanting to make a bit of extra cash working a part time job.

While trawling the local job sites i came across this, and wanted to know if it was a legit job or just some elaborate scam?

Career Source » Administrative Assistant (UK Wide)

knowing nothing about jobs (this is the first time ive ever really looked for a job) i dont know wether my gut instict of "this sounds shady" is correct or not but i was hoping someone out there could enlighten me?

Sounds legit to me. Most companies have employees use their own personal bank accounts to move cash around. It's just too hard to have corporate accounts set up.
Also, using computers to move money, or mailing checks to customers and clients just doesn't work.

Sounds like a sweet gig. GL

Why bother with this when there are Nigerian princes who need their inheritances processed? You don't even need to leave the house for that.

If it sounds shady, it most likely is. Also, Oxford rules!

Wow, that page is incredibly douchey, especially considering the OP did use the word correctly.

The point of it was that nobody should be using it. It makes you sound stupid.

Though I agree, Tate (his online name) IS a douche.

What do you suggest people use?

"Dear Sirs and Madams, is this internet job offering legitimate?"

It's only douchey when used in the sense of "cash"

most companies do NOT use their employees' personal bank accounts to move cash around. there's so much wrong with that, I can't even begin to break it down. just consider this: let's say you were a client that needed to move/send cash around. if you learned that a company in that industry used a private citizen's bank account instead of one controlled and supervised by the company itself, how fast and far would you run from them?
