Mevio update

Adam Curry was on This week in Tech and I noticed he never mentioned Mevio, and was actually hyping mobile apps as if that's what his business is now. I checked out Mevio, and it looks like they have abandoned podcasts and it looks like a Youtube ripoff site now where they do their own shows. Since I've never heard of the site anywhere, what the hell did they do with the millions of dollars they raised?

Adam has sucked the $15M dry ( that WAS in 2008!) and is doing a soft exit from Mevio

He has split from his porn star wife and moved to San Fran with his hot new g/f. And if you like that entertainment tonight kinda junk check out Adams ex singing - check out the lyrics...yikes. His daughter is doing some modeling - she's cute...






He is selling his plane, has no credit history and can't get a mortgage - so he says...
He is making about a grand a month shilling iPhone apps on "the appshow" (I've never seen it) He makes 5% on about $20k sales per month.

He is on Cranky Geeks a fair bit. He mainly does 2 podcast shows a week with John C Dvorak under the NoAgenda banner and they live off donations. Hmmmm...Wonder where they got that idea???

Their whole business plan now seems to be a ripoff of something that's at the top of its success. Remember they did a myspace ripoff right before people stopped caring about myspace. Now they rip off youtube 3 years too late. I be they have a facebook copy in the works for 2012.
