Moving to the USA

Ok i might want to move in the USA in the future, hopefully.

So i googled the infos on the visa and the results were confusing and defeating. A million different answers and too many people who just made fun of the question without answering.

So please can anyone clarify?

The Green Card can be obtained only if i get sponsored by my employer or if i get married?

How does the 90 days thing work? i stay there for 3 months then i am out for how long?

There are more ways to get a green card, but the two most likely to apply to you are employer sponsored or marriage.
I haven't actually looked at the US rules, but I'm wanting to move to Europe and with the EU countries the 90 day thing is. You can stay 90 days, then you have to leave for at least 90 days before returning. I'm assuming US is the same.
I think they have a 6 month VISA, but you have to show that you have money to cover expenses for that period of time. (So you aren't working here.)

Visas

or you could try and call the american embassy, those are my best guesses.

Also this is more expensive but if you have the money, have an (over the phone) sit down with an american immigrations lawyer, they know the facts and will handle most everything for you.

Junk i suggest you start a new thread titled "Who wants to marry me so I can live in the states legally?"
out of all the KATG female listeners in the US, someone has to be available for marrying an alien.

From what I understand the 90 day visa you get using the Visa-Waiver-Program gives you 90 days in the US at one time , then you need to leave (and I also can't find anywhere how long) and can get in again that same year for a max of 180 days in a year.
Visa Waiver program entry can not be extended, if you apply for a real Visa you get the chance to stay for 180 days in a row.
With both of these you can not work legally and if you really plan to stay longer I might not want to risk them catching you and fucking up any future visa requests. Do you have that kind of money saved to support yourself for half a year?

I might not be very glamourous or profitable but did you consider getting a visa for an au-pair type job or something similar? That should get you in for a year and probably makes it much easier to convince them that you are really in love if you want to marry afterwards.

Good luck in any case
