Speaking of "fake" interviews. What's the name of that couple where the woman is really submissive and ignorant and they alway talk about Diet Sunkist. I think their improv is a laugh-riot, if given to me in small doses. And is that the same guy that has the silent chanting album? I can't remember...
EDIT: Ahh, it was Richard Martin and his "wife" Jazz. Can't find a lot of info on his real life persona Last edited by 12side; 04-09-2010 at 11:31 AM. |

I don't want to make any assumptions for other people, but for myself, if I HAD to be raped, I'm pretty sure I would want it done quickly rather than slowly. So I think your theory holds up. (Of course there are always ways that a quickie could be ruined, like if you're being jabbed with sharp things at the same time, or drowning, or you haven't eaten in a long time, or you ate too much, and then went swimming too soon and that's why you're drowning, and someone throws you a life preserver but it's sharp for some reason and it jabs you, because they accidentally threw you a ninja star, which doesn't stop you from drowning at all... but all things being equal, I'd rather that happen during a quickie than a slowie.) PS Just trying to get "slowie" into the vernacular. Fun! |

That aside, he's one of those comedians that i also find interesting on a human level (with the limited level that i can gather from what he tells). Lots of people, on the show, underline his brutal honesty, and the fact that he rarely puts up an act and actually exposes himself while being funny. I always loved that type of comedy. And his latest stuff really gets to me because i see a lot of my own issues in the ones he talks about. Sometime he sounds like i imagine myself when i'm ten years older. That, on another side, could kinda intimitate me if i ever met him. I would feel like a very bothering weirdo that would annoy him if i approached him. That could be wrong (it was with Doug Stanhope, who's a sweet man)... But you, Myq, i just think you're hilarious. Hopefully one day you'll do a european trip and i will gladly hop on a plane to see you. |

If you're willing to hop on a plane to see me, you should just get one that comes all the way to the US. Or wait, and I'm sure I'll be closer soon. (Scotland and/or the UK seem like possibilities for the somewhat near-to-mid-future. No promises. But possibilities.) |

Myq on Maron was a great episode. Marc has a way of overwhelming the guests sometimes, but Myq is too interesting for Marc to steamroll. I heard a lot of mutual respect in that interview. I'd love it if Myq could somehow get on one of Maron's live shows. I'm sure he'd have a ball in a live panel setting with an audience giving live reaction.

Glad you enjoyed it. I'd be thrilled as well to get the opportunity to have a ball as such at a live show. Balls! |
