New TV season

Right then, American'ts. Which TV shows should I be obtaining by legal-or-otherwise means? Anything new? Have any shows become late bloomers? Go!

Do yourself a huge favor and steer very clear of the new NBC show "Outsourced". I thought sitcoms were supposed to be funny, or at the very least, entertaining. Apparently NBC thinks "Culturally ignorant American stuck in Indian call center" is edgy and hilarious. Foriegn accents can't replace actual humor.

It's based on an indie film with same name, and the movie was "decent" not that great, but okay and a good enough date movie...a few laughs, not major, and a corny love story.

When I saw they were making it into a show I thought the idea was fucking ridiculous, because it's NOT a story that can (or at least should) be stretched out in a whole tv series.

I saw 10 minutes of the show and couldn't take it (because I was watching w/e was right before it)

Anyway, more to the point of this thread.
WATCH MODERN FAMILY!!
I love that show.

I've started watching Lost Girl which is a new low budget show on Showcase that he kind of got me hooked. It's about a girl that finds out she is a succubus and is being introduced to the underworld of demons...

I'm loving "Boardwalk Empire," but that has its own thread. I am willing to stick with "Nikita" for a while, but have not been completely grabbed by too many new shows. Cable TV is where the best new shows are. The networks are only running at about 70% acceptable at best.

well the returning shows are obvious, how i met your mother, the big bang theory, 30 rock, chuck, smallville, bones and the mentalist.but on the new front theres undercovers which is mr and mrs smith meets heart to heart with a touch of true lies, an interesting spy drama but not quite as good as covert affairs or nikita. chase is just the fugitive and us marshals with tommy lee jones replaced buy a hot blond woman. and Hawaii 50 has nothing to do with the original series but was a lot better than expected. terriers was quite slow but may grow on me and the event just confused the hell out of me, its like lost on speed.
p.s. if like me your not American may i recommend eztv.it and if you are American you can also get merlin there.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuck yooooooooooouuuuuuu and welcome to the forums. thanks for the lost girl tip, i downloaded the first 3 and it was good. i also saw a lot of people mention community so i tried it and of course people on this forum loved it, one of the main characters has asp-burgers (although i did spend 9hrs watching all 26 episodes back to back so who am i to pick on weird mental conditions.)
someone else mentioned lonestar which got axed after 2 shows which means season 3 of lie to me is on next week even though season 2 just finished and for some reason human target is dellayed abit but will be on soon. oh and stargate universe just returned with caprica next week for sci fi fans.

rhian dont you have utorrent? get it and go to EZTV - TV Torrents Online

I liked Lonestar and I think they were a bit quick to axe it, while shows like "Raising Hope" are allowed to continue (although I never expect shows to last on FOX, some of my favorites, "Undeclared" "Big Fish" etc. were unexpectedly canceled as well)

My argument exactly for why CBS always has the #1 shows with shit like "Two and a Half Men", "How I met your mother", "Big Bang Theory", that one with David Spade... boo!

Showtime has the best shows, no doubt about it. HBO wins some and loses some but at least they try to get original content.
