maybe they just appreciated the honesty.
years ago i had some guy turn in an application that, in the comments section he wrote his 4 children's names and the amount that he paid in child support for each. which he added up to show the minimum amount he needed to make.

My resume had, at one point, that I was president of the physics club for a year. Little does anyone who didn't go to my school know, all we did in the physics club, all four or five of us, was order two sheet pizzas once a month and sit around talking for a half an hour. Usually meetings were on Fridays, so we could take the extra pizza for food during the weekend.
