If you are around NYC Come on out to Manhattan for a fun F1 Turkish GP watch party this weekend.

Starts at 7:30 am on Sunday, May 30th

At The Australian Bar

38th Street between 5th and 6th

We'll get drunk enough that the entire world seems like it is the quad apex turn 8.

And it will be my birthday!

J, seriously, who else? Wally Dallenbach and AJ?
In the Statesman article at the end they say "see the Abu Dhabi track preview" . . not a good sign.
My guess, if it happens at all, is he'll design a couple of corners to reference great US tracks like an Indy curve and a stretch of bumpy airfield with nasty divots in the apex like Cleveland and a goofy off-camber downhill corner like Watkins Glen. I bet he will not use the typical 1-2 complex he has recently, I imagine it'll be closer to Circuit de Catalunya.

No idea who else, but anyone else would be better. And hopefully the circuit site will have plenty of terrain to make it harder for the designer to screw up. Looking at google maps, it appears that the area around Austin has plenty of terrain features.

I actually looked up a couple of the other track design firms, Tilke is most connected.
It was weird that Sebvet moved over into Webah, it seemed those two were in a good relationship, i mean, who knew they'd broken up!?

HAH!

It was one of the most retarded crashes I've ever seen. Bad enough that they're on the same team but they were on a fucking straight. Retaaaaaaaaaaarded.

i like Seb more than Mahk, but, jeebuz, who doesn't know there's NO WAY Webah is letting you by, team mate or none, on a pass like that. Mark held his line, Seb was coming up on deep dust and clag and woulda slid right thru the corner, he was fucked and knew it . . dumb; and he's making the "crazy" sign? And Mark was a crack up in the interview room, my wife was howling
