Well, I think Leopard should be larger than 6 Gigs, but yeah, it is $120 as opposed to the $29 for SL.
Judfing from the above posts about trying to burn OS X, I'd be suspoect of the integrity of the file. You may try downloading it again. *shrug*. |

If input isn't clunky and it runs OSX software (iWork and MS office in particular) then I'm in, almost regardless of price. If it can run 4GB of ram and windosws in a VM, it will be completely awesome. I'm also hoping for big storage possibilities via a 2.5in traditional hard drive. Most of what I've read makes it a big fat iphone, and if that's the case I don't se a reason to not carry the pocketable version instead. I'll also give no fucks if it's just another way to sell more wireless internet contracts. I have no desire to buy something that is tired to any subscription based internet service. The biggest disappointment is going to be if it is everything I hope for but the damn thing isn't at apple stores in good supply the next day. If I want it, it'l piss me off if I can't just go buy one.

It still would have been fun to make wish lists so that we can be extra disappointed when it comes out (I really need to find a use for my old stowaway keyboard)
Here's a quick Q: If I'm running transmission, it bogs my machine down pretty hard. Playing back high def video seems to be about the same as trying to download it as far as making the case warm and making things run slowly. Is torrent-downloading really resource intensive, or is transmission not the best choice (or both)? |

It's the default settings. Total max "global" connections is 200. Is that too many? There were 11 files downloading last night, so I could have been really close to that number. |

getting my macbook pro back
I'm finally getting my Macbook Pro back (goodbye Acer). I did the $310 fix all out of the apple store to replace my logic board.
I'm running tiger right now. Can I install Snow Leopard without all the ilife and iwork bundle package? |

Is your macbook intel based? If you are running Tiger it could be power pc based, then Leopard is as high as you go. It doesn't come with iwork, also, you are supposed to have a legit copy of Leopard in order to get Snow leopard but I think I have heard that the SL install doesn't really check if you do and will install anyway.
