No thoughts, but here are my thoughts. I tried installing a custom firmware package that looked like the iPod Classic onto my iPod Video before it died, and it worked well for what it was, but the menu transitions were laggy and that was enough for me not to keep it. I don't think that the development is such on the iPod Video that allows smooth transitions and stuff for the custom firmware.
Good luck though, I'm probably not the right guy though. |

For some fucked up reason, when I started front row and went to play my music on shuffle, for some reason midi files that I can only assume belong to garage band got put into the shuffle. Now they are in itunes as well. Where do I go in itunes or whatever to not have these included in my music.

I would go into iTunes, right click up the top (near name, time, artist) and include "kind" in the sorting, arrange by that, and scroll down to where it says MIDI audio file, and delete it I suppose.

Maybe look at the file path in Get Info in iTunes, and if it's a GarageBand path, delete the file, and when the "move to trash" or "keep file", click "keep file" and the file will stay in the same place and not get deleted off your HD.

ok, this has been bothering me for quite some time. I plug in my iPod, podcasts ready to be dragged over (I use manual update, I don't like and refuse to use the option to auto sync my things). problem is, every so often, I drag the podcasts over and... they aren't in the podcast section. They aren't found in music, tv, movies... nowhere. But I watched the iPod update and even the podcast load into it. this has happened with over 20 podcasts and I end up having to direct download them and load them in as music. This is incredibly frustrating, especially since they absolutely do sync over and take up space only to be lost in my iPod's hard drive somewhere. WTF
