Yes. I am a nerd. But I love that series. :o

You totally get respect for that. I hate anime, I generally find the Japanese storytelling that I'm exposed to to be subpar, and I haven't actually played Persona, but I watched people on the internet play through all of Persona 4 (I am ultra-nerd), and it really is a fantastic piece of art.

There was a ton of really impressive writing in there, and I will absolutely get my hands on Persona 5 whenever they finally make it.

If I do watch anime it tends to be darker. I don't really do the robot fighting stuff or the little girl stuff but I like Blood+, Lain, Ghost in the Shell and Ergo Proxy. And for video games I love the entire Shin Megami Tensei series. I'll play any of those games a million times over, and I have them on the Playstation 2, the Nintendo DS and the PSP. I'm this close to buying a Vita just for Persona 4 Golden.

I didn't realize they are actually working on Persona 5 and it will be on the Playstation 3??? Well they better follow through on that; that's the best news I've heard all day.

Okay, that needs to end with a huge nerd slurp.

Ghost in the Shell is the best anime I've been exposed to. That was actually alright. I will freely admit that the people around me influence what I see, and their taste is very questionable. I also have made some poor choices myself, like deciding that I loved Devil May Cry so much I needed to watch the anime. Really, really bad idea.

Persona 4 is my only exposure to that studio's work, but if the rest of that series has that quality of writing, I should really get on that.
Well, they haven't announced any platforms, and they only just announced that there was even pre-production being done on it this past August, so I don't even know that it will be on the current cycle of consoles. It probably won't be out for a few years, I'd guess.

But it'll happen at some point, and then I'll play it.

Persona 3 & 4 are the best for story and playability. The Shin Tensei series is known for being brutal to actually get through. I broke a few controllers on the ground trying to play Nocturne.

I'm sick for hard games. I love it when games have a mode that has one save that automatically overwrites constantly.

Well, Shin Tensei Megami Nocturne isn't going to blow you away with storyline (you're wandering through a city after an apocalypse), but you'll die a fucking lot.
