Yeah there is my old man gave our deck a coat of linseed oil using rag
The bottle said dispose of the rags properly he did he threw them in the trash can in the garage. It was a stinking hot day linseed oil is combustible. Parents went out for the afternoon The rags heated up in the warm garage ignited and caught the garage on fire. No one was hurt garage was gutted The rebuilt the house my mum didn’t want to live in it any more so we move to a brand new place Funny thing guy from the insurance company turned up asked what happen he got the linseed oil story hes said oh yeah happens all the time . Kids putting linseed oil on cricket bats them tossing rags in rubbish bins . And our dog wasn't going to let the firemen threw the gate so she had a go at one of them , The went round the other side of the house distracted the dog then smashed my bedroom window and walked all over my bed to get to the fire . The the house had no power so dad gave the firemen all the beer we had and some steaks my parents owned a catering company at the time . |
