I was reading an article by some douche photographer who said that doing the isolated color thing was tacky - call my tacky, I love it. The photo with the pink flowers is awesome.
Is the last shot HDR? |

![]() It's HDR...ish. It's only one exposure that I stepped up and down 2 stops. I didn't like the way the original came out and thought I'd try for a different effect. I'm not sure I'm done with it yet. Flickr doesn't like wide formats so I think something is lost with it being squished. BTW, shot that with the Tokina. |

Sweet - I'm going to call a couple photographers today to find out what they'd charge for the job I'm trying to quote on. Think I might just have to throw a number at them, see how involved the job is and reassess if I need to charge more or less. Just don't want to scare them away as it could be a great reoccurring gig and I REALLY want a justification to buy this lens; going to Spain in 7 weeks and can't afford to buy it unless I'm going to be earning something from it reasonably quickly.

![]() I'm actually going to a show Friday to display some of my abandoned building shots. People that are also going said I should list my shots for about $20. Has anyone ever gone to a gallery or show like that? I think $20 is pretty insulting for the amount of work I put in. I thought at least $50. I don't really expect anyone to buy them at $20 anyway, but I figured pricing them higher would attract more positive attention. They're 10x15 professionally printed shots and the whole event is going to cost me $135 to go to. I'd just about break even at $50 a piece.

I agree with Mandias - although I've never tried to sell my photos before. But the last thing you want to do is undersell yourself. If you know in your head that you're worth more, charge that and then some. You won't feel good if you sell 10 photos knowing full well you deserve much more.
