My first attempts with the canon 40d

Here they are. I had a bit of a focusing issue at first, perhaps the squirrel wasn't the best candidate to shoot when learning to use new equipment so I deleted those ones. But we learn by our mistakes so here are the ones I did like. Taken in the park next to the hospital I work in, on my lunch-break.








any tips/comments are very much appreciated.

I liked old cameras as a kid and used to buy them at garage sales. Here's what I found in my parents attic today and also a picture of a camera through the view finder of another camera for fun:

Actually, I'm one episode behind, so I'm not sure what the hell just happened. I have a small collection of old cameras myself, you should display those somewhere. There's a few of the old cameras (and I'm talking like 100 years old) that will use 120 size film. I'm going to try to find a working one and take some shots with it.

Tossing some brave chipmunks almonds earlier. It's tough getting pics due to the low light and these things moving like the Flash.
