I took this on my iPhone 4, in the dark, while it was dangling and moving a bit. I was quite impressed with myself.

A few of mine.

This thread has inspired me, think I'll charge up my Minolta Maxxum 5D and get out there and start shooting again. Used to do a lot of Black and White, prior to digital I had a full B&W darkroom setup in my basement but boxed it up when we moved and have never gotten it back out of storage. Eventually we bought the Digital SLR and our old 35mm cameras haven't been out of their cases since. I love the convenience of digital but sometimes I miss the ritual of developing and printing from film.

In any event, here are a few of mine, some of my first digital shots, post processed in GIMP to make Tilt Shift images. (they seem to look better full size on a black background)

So after several revisions, lots of sweat, swearing, and duct tape, I finished my thingy. I ended up with much stronger bulbs. I still need to tweak a few things, but it's pretty much done. Total cost was under 100$. 70$ of that was bulbs and backdrop.

In case you're wondering, there is a reason I was taking a picture of a purse. I swear it isn't mine.

Yay for inspiration! I found someone giving away a whole dark room set a while back but I was a minute too late responding. I never got to work much with film or old SLR cameras. Maybe someday...

Those pictures are trippy. The focus is on an object rather than a plane. I like.

I'm sure you were just holding it for a friend.

My Wife wants me to photograph her my little pony collection, there are crates full of the bloody things in my house. So who knows i may end up taking even less manly photos and constructing my own light box for something i don't particularly care about. Although it would be a good learning experience i s'pose.

I found this site whilst surfing this week, it has a variety of portfolios on there, i'm sure it is one of many available but i found it interesting.

the better the pics on e-bay, the more likely i am to buy something

if she wants to sell them, collectors will value the time & effort you put into photographing them

& you can charge her a percentage of the selling price lol
