Planning a trip to New York for the April 15 event. Hotel Recommendations?

Me and my wife are planning a trip to New York in April. As our 10 year-anniversary is on April 15 we thought we would combine it with the KATG-event. We are now in the process of picking the hotel and were wondering if you have any recommendations?

I'd suggest Hotwire.com: Discount airfare, hotel reservations, car rentals, vacation packages and cruises but I think that works better closer to the date

carltonarms.com It's half hostel/half hotel. You can get a private room on the cheap and it's right in the city. I had a single room there last year, and so did a couple of other KATGers.

Hey Cooney,

If you search through old April 15th threads from previous years you might find some good recommendations from people who stayed at various places.

Search threads for April 15 and accommodation maybe.

I say New York City Hotels: Pod Hotel Manhattan NYC discount accommodations near Radio City Music Hall Rockefeller Center Times Square, The price was a bit too high for myself, so I went with the cheap alternative Chelsea Star, which is a great hostel, but for your 10 year anniversary you might wanna go for something more private and intimate.

And the Pod Hotel has always seemed very very cool to me. Never been there, but the looks and concept of it sounds great, very high tech, very clean. Give it a look.

Both years that we went to the April 15th festivities, we rented a vacation rental apartment. Found one on CraigsList and the other on VRBO® is Vacation Rentals By Owner.

This year I'm going to offer sexual services to ladies to stay with them. You and your wife might try that?

Seriously though, a lot of people usually stay at the hostels near Madison Square. I was going to start a thread a little latter in the year to see if we can't all get one of the 12 bunk rooms for just our group.

That sounds like a great idea! Were not gonna eat many meals at a hotel anyway. Ill check into that!
