so, i've been around for a bit...occasionally lurking for years
there is something that confuses me
whenever i look here, there are at least 30+ people either logged in or lurking
yet
there are so. few. posts.
most often none
what is the deal?
is stuff happening in chat all day...(i never look there so that could be the case)

i'm just super curious because this really is an interesting community
i've been listening for years blah blah blah
but i really do appreciate the mindset that katg has brought together
and, i'd love to see more dialogue

Actually, I was the same for years. It can be a little intimidating to post, I guess. The less I cared what people thought in general, the more I posted here. I'm not up to "flame war"/"fuck you" status yet - but it's not so scary after all.

I think the forums can be harsh sometimes. Some people may be afraid or hesitant to join and post because they aren't sure how to handle it's sass...I can easily see how the forums seem mean to an outsider.

We talked about this for a sec in the chat party last Sunday. I think we decided that we all need to be more active on the forums if we want it to liven back up, but we also should be more welcoming and less hostile...


But really, chat is where it's at.
