My experience was catching myself going a long period without a cigarette. I got so caught up with a fun activity that I went about 12 hrs without realizing i didnt have a cigarette or even think about it.
So try to spend time around non-smokers, then when you get distracted enough and you realize you went x long without a cig try to keep that streak going. Its a mind trick, sort of like cheating for a head start. That was nearly 10 years ago, so that 12 hr period has literally turned into 10 years completely smoke free. (not counting occasion ganja use) |

I dont want to sound like a bubble burster, but a friend of mine reccomended the same book to me some time ago, saying that it helped her and a lot of people quitting. It didnt work for me and she's back on the wagon. The only people i know who've been able to really quit (and by that i mean stopping smoking completely and for a long period) are people who felt that they needed to do it and needed some sort of mental crutch (the book helps that way) or had some health issue that made them quit (Including the amazing "i woke up one morning and coughed out blood". True story). I've beeen trying to quit for a while but nothing seems to work. Bummer.

cigarettes are too expensive to throw out. but it's thursday. i'll buy the book this weekend (i just read a few pages on amazon and am psyched). I'll finish the packs over the weekend and read the book. I'm thoroughly anxious.
no Alan Carr, when I tried those first experimental cigarettes I never expected to still be smoking today. |

Cold Turkey and you have to REALLY WANT TO GIVE UP!
Willpower is the only way. Patches prolong your addiction. You stop smoking, nicotine leaves your body after three days. You are no longer addicted to nicotine - yay! Your brain will be your enemy though and you will crave it cause it's a habit. Fight that and you will be fine. I am six months smoke free and it feels great. I have my craving moments but they pass. |

I went cold turkey. I read that it'd make my cock grow. It didn't do that, but I swear to christ my boner's are twice as firm now. I can hang laundry on this thing, and it's ready to go in no time. It might be in my head, but ever since I quit my sex drive is through the roof.
