Rate my army, dude

This is one for all you military types, and I know that there are a fair number of you on these boards.

Please rate/give your impressions of other nations' militaries that you have worked with. Please do *not* comment on another nation's military if you have not actually worked with them and therefore do not know what the fuck you are talking about. This question is open to anyone who has served in any military of any country.

PS: I have not myself served in any military. Just curious.

I was in a Combat Heavy Unit at Ft Riley Kansas assinged to the 1st Infantry Division.

We went to Honduras to build some roads and buildings and airports.

The military I came across were guarding the base we were at. All that I came across were good soldiers, not very well trained (the SF guys were bringing them along) but were willing to learn and do what was asked.

I only had a limited amount of contact but they were satifactory group from my point of view.

No complaints about the Brits, i've jumped at Ft. Bragg with a bunch of them, good guys.

I really love the Germans, have jumped with them too, they are fucking crazy

I am Canadian/English (dual citizen) living in Germany. Hope that clears things up.

French Special Forces were OK in Afghanistan

Kurds are fucking the most awesome soldiers I have ever seen, one brigade destrioyed a division of Iraqis on the eve of the invasions (Peshmerga)

Saudis are fags

Pakistanis hate americans and shot out first sergeant at the border

Russians are cool
