That's what urban legends are made of. It never happened to the person telling the story. It's always a friend of a friend. |

The "urban legend" has been around for a long time. Its possible these guys might have been named from that, I don't know. I wish I still had the football programs to prove it, but meh who cares. Last edited by pala; 11-11-2008 at 08:40 PM. |

I know no back story other than the "urban legends" back stories. Which as far as I know had nothing to do with these 2 dudes. Maybe it was a joke? Maybe it was some parents sick idea of something funny? I have no idea, I didn't personally know the guys other than whipping their asses at football and baseball (Fredricktown sucked at sports )

I was at a high school football game a couple weeks ago. On one team there was a kid named Dave Matthews. On the other team there was a kid named Wilson Phillips. There was one play where the announcer told us all that Dave Matthews tackled Wilson Phillips.

I liked the one I saw in a newspaper a year or two ago.
Mr and Mrs Peacock decided to name their son Drew. It wasn't until a few weeks later that they did a goggle search of their son's name that they realised that Drew Peacock might have another meaning. They said they weren't going to change it though, poor bastard. |

I knew a guy in Manteo NC named Winn Dough. of course he had a brother named John and a sister named Jane, but no sibling named play, alas. I also remember a radio broadcast I was hosting once where the guy "live on site" signed off as "Kunt Dunn"....I failed the professionalism test by being unable to respond for a good 45 seconds......Another guy reporting from Nags Head claimed to be covering the "stunt cunt" competition from Jockeys Ridge, no doubt a shock to the kite flyers on site.
