Recording audio on a Mac (Help)

Okay, following the mishap I had a few weeks ago recording the secret show, and the couple weeks break in between, I figure I might as well prepare my self well for recording stuff in the future.

Currently I just use the trial version of Wiretap Pro, and although it records the stuff well, it does do it lossless, meaning the final thing is huge. I then edit it in Audacity and then that's it.

The Audacity part I'm content with, though I'm hoping someone knows a better way of actually recording the show. At the moment Wiretap records all audio on the Mac, and while it does a decent job, I wouldn't mind something a bit more convenient, such as something that would record just the feed.

And as always, any help is appreciated.

download audiohijack pro

http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/

and then check out this site:

http://www.serialz.to/serialbox.html

for some...ahem...additional information (or actually buy audiohijack, my personal reccomendation)

audiohijack pro rocks, records stuff into AAC, MP3, whatever you want. easy as hell to use.

Balls, now I love you for more than just your ruggedly good looks. It's a damn good program, and from what I can see, things should be a whole lot easier to do now.

Cheers balls

I was messing with Audio Hijack, and have to say that it is damn impressive. The thing I'm liking is the ability to split the recordings on the go, record just from one specific program at a time, and preview the stuff without having to go into iTunes.

$30 doesn't seem all that bad.
