It was super smart to pick a woman. I think she'll be a nice balance to his grumpy old man persona. But as an Obama supporter I'm hoping this decision isn't as genius as it seems right now.

Obama's record on welfare, the 2nd amendment, corp and personal taxes and his statements about foreign policy. McCain is far from my ideal candidate, but he's a lot more likely to win than the Libertarian nominee (who isn't ideal either, no damn politician is). |

When your biggest attack on your opponent
is that he's inexperienced, picking someone just as inexperienced as a running mate seems stupid to me. But people are idiots, so Hillary-voters might go to McCain not to mention her baby is a retard, and that could easily get sympathy votes from stupid people. It's not like anyone McCain chose would have been "cool" under my eyes. But she's by far one of the least "passible" of the possibilities that were open to him. -to me at least. Anybody who thinks "creationism" should be taught alongside evolution in classrooms is too much of an idiot in my opinion to hold such an important position in politics.....sorry. |

This is the reason I've always wondered why there is a shared ticket. VP should be separately voted on. Wouldn't in be more interesting to see things a little off balance. McCain getting president and then Biden getting VP might be more interesting.
