That's a tough one. I'm pro-choice too, I just don't think that the Federal government should have anything to say about it one way or another. At the very least it ought to be decided state by state according to the local voters.

i agree it can be a tough choice. it seems that everyone i talk to is so concerned about their vote "counting" that they are willing to blind themselves to anything other than the traditional two parties. i just think that the only way your vote objectively "counts" is first, if you actually cast it and second, if you vote for the person who best represents what you want for yourself. |

If there is no way the person your voting for is going to win. Wouldn't it make more sense to vote for the lesser of two evils that will win, than have your least favorite candidate win becuase your vote was on someone who had no chance.

I've voted Libertarian in the past 4 presidential elections and locally, the group that I'm in has helped get 3 Libertarians elected to city postions in my little 'burb. This year is going to be interesting for me ... All that being said, I think that Palin brings a lot to the table for the Republican ticket. Mostly because she's lived in the real business world for a chunk of her life and has a record as a tight budget reformer. Smaller government is my big trigger.

the only time a person has "no way" of winning is when they are not on the ballot. constantly saying that a candidate has no chance serves only to reassure yourself and the masses that its ok not to do what is right, but instead to do what is popular. how many people do you come across everyday that say "well i'm voting for ___ because i hate him the least" ? try to keep track of that and then compare that to the number of people who choose McCain/Obama because its honestly who they think is best. imagine that on a nationwide scale. if people would stop worrying about having a choice between two things they hate, and start making the choices they actually want then maybe this country wouldnt be so pants-on-our-head retarded. we could make the choices that would stop the bleeding of our economy, the rape of our rights and the restraints of our ability to do for ourselves... then perhaps we could start living like the individuals we were created to be. |

I think this is a great choice. Despite her supposed lack of experience she is going to be a pull for women and those who want corruption out of the party. It's also eclipsed anything from the DNC already, and Obama's horrible VP pick.
