I wouldn't mind Obama losing to the Republican party as much
if Ron Paul were on the ticket instead of McCain. Even if he had a few flaws I couldn't fully "accept" I was really hoping for his success. |

I was in Alaska last year, in Juneau actually, and everyone was making fun of their new governor. Basically the consensus was that the women voted for her because she was a woman and the guys voted for her because they all wanted to fuck her. No one regarded her as a serious political person. I was completely floored when McCain choose her, I didn’t even know she was a republican when I was in Alaska (it never came up in conversations).
All the people he could have chosen and he chooses a light weight meant to appeal to some demographic. McCain has completely lost his marbles. I was honestly undecided until now. |

I didn't want Ron Paul to succeed because I thought he was my ideal candidate at all. But he's definitely the best Republican that Obama could lose to. I feel safer with someone who promotes State's Rights on social issues, than a retard who promotes amendments to ban abortion or same-sex marriages. I like Paul's ideas on stopping corporate welfare, protecting civil liberties, and his opposition to internet regulation. --Still, I'm not saying I was hoping for his presidency. But if it's not gonna be Obama, I don't want it to be McCain or Romney or Fuckin' Huckabee....Ron Paul was a good (if a Republican had to win) choice. Plus the war on Iraq is my biggest selling point at the moment. |
