My brother used to be heavy into skating, and I would live through him as a poser. I would rock World Industries and I never set foot on a board.

Although one of my favorite memories is whenever we watched skate videos together. This was one of our fav things to watch, since his favorite skater was Jamie Thomas.

I used to skate when I was younger, it was fun but I was terrible at it only really stuck at it because all my friends did i could just about manage kick flips, heel flips and some pop shove it variations.

I still watch some skating videos not and then, I like mostly street skating vert never really interested me to watch. Favorite skater was proably rodney mullen.

I wanted to be a real skater so badly, but I was too fat, too nervous and we were too poor. A real skateboard was like, 100 bucks ans there was no way my mom would spend that on a toy. My dad bought me a 15 dollar board from Big 5 for Christmas one year and insisted I learn to skate on our driveway. I fell down so many times I got a huge lump on my knee, but I learned how to skate.

I would spend hours in the back yard trying to learn how to ollie, but I didn't have any friends that skated so my technique was lacking to say the least. Usually I would just end up trying to balance on the board with it and me in various positions.

After that my mom's best friend gave me her sons old board, which is my baby. An old Tony Hawk board from when he was with Powell in 1984. I rode that board everywhere until I got my license. I remember the cool kids at school started buying imitation 80s boards after I always had mine with me.

wow, i haven't skated for a while....
i stole my old boyfriends board and it served me well for a long time. it snaped in half after i landed on it like an idiot.
and of course, im too cheap to shell out the $150 for a new one. oh well.
