With all due respect, fuck Apple's list.
That company is so trying to hijack this medium.

..and their meddling with the rss standard pisses me off too...ack.

I understand where you're coming from, but Apple has also done a lot to help the medium by bringing millions of new potential listeners who would've otherwise known nothing about podcasts.

I'm ignorant as to the RSS standards, so FUCK THEM for that either way.

"Most interesting are the two obvious podcasts that didn't make the cut. First is Adam Curry's The Daily Source Code. DSC is great podcast for newbies. Or at least it used to be. In my opinion it is just an ad for every other podcast hosted by Podshow, Curry's podcasting media empire in the making (or so time will tell)."
