Suggestions for NYC comedy this weekend?

I'm heading to NYC this weekend and I'm hoping for some recommendations for what to see on the comedy scene this Sunday night (23rd!) or maybe Saturday.

What kind of comedy are you looking for? Free shows? Comedy clubs? Places with 2 drinks or 2 items minimum? Any particular type of comics you're interesting in seeing?

Something in Manhattan, close to 34th street preferably, but I really dont mind travelling.

I'm hoping for Katg-style comics, cover/drinks minimum is no issue. Comedy clubs would work also.

I'm basically looking for any suggestions. Last time I went to NYC my friend wasn't into standup so we didn't get to see any, and I went to a really horrible standup show in Boston last night, so I'd like to catch a really good comedy experience in USA before I leave!

You would probably enjoy the comedy cellar. It's 2 items minimum. The later the shows the funnier they get. Many headliner comics like Chris Rock and Louis CK have been known to drop by to practice new material. Foods pretty good as well. Not by 34 street though. It's in the village. If you're by 8th Avenue you can take the A, C, E, line to West 4 street (About 2 stops from 34th) and it's within walking distance from there. Enjoy :-)
