the hamlet thing was clear in the pilot, then it really mostly faded away.

The 2 guys who make it (Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck) also made Nip/Tuck, in addition to Glee. AHS is DEF more of the dark Nip/Tuck and since that show did so well to bring attention to FX when it was a struggling network, I think they can practically get away with murder (literally) on AHS.

That scene when she tried to get her daughter to the house after the car accident was so heartwrenching. She was willing to condemn yet another child to that curse, just so she could still see her. She's quite an interesting villain. Sometimes I sympathize with her but hate her at the same time.

I love this show!!
I think from last week's show we learned that anyone who dies on the property is condemned to stay there, although maybe they choose when they appear? Tate and Moira are always around the homeowners but the gay couple, the original owners, the gimp, Dylan McDermott's ex-student and now the boy locked in the attic come and go.

I wonder if Tate knows he's dead. He doesn't seem to. Did Violet ever explain the shooting to him? He didn't know what had happened during the Halloween episode. I'm interested to know what his reason was for the shooting.

Has the original owner/abortion doctor shown up in "present day" yet? I can't remember.

I'm interested in learning who the gimp is and why the house is haunted (is it because of the original owners? Was it built on an Indian burial ground?). Also, what's up with the twin red heads. And what happened to the kids of the burn victim man. Are they just ashes or will they appear?
AHS is quite an addicting show!

I see what you did there...

I think Dexter has a great theme for this season, wasn't so impressed with season 5 (especially after 4). I truly want the show to end with Dexter being caught and telling a court room his list of crimes, BTK style. That would be heaven. Then it could flash forward to the future once Dexter has been executed to Harrison picking up where Dex left off, and now Dexter is his "dark passenger".

Tate told Violet that she's "evolving" and can now see the dead. I think the ghosts are always around, but not everyone can see them at all times. The Television Without Pity forums folks are speculating that Violet is now dead (and doesn't know it, like Tate) and that's why Tate keeps telling her she's "changing" and also why he's suddenly so happy. He did tell Ben that his "visions" are going away, although that could merely be because Violet is getting closer to him and he's in love.

I believe he was seen in the basement by one of the murder fans who were trying to kill the family a few episodes ago. But I don't think the main family has seen him. Vivien did just realize that she saw his wife at the end of the last episode, when Violet shows her the family photo.

I hope it's not as trite as an Indian burial ground. Or a portal to hell where the devil is trying to materialize. But let's face it; most of the plotlines they could possibly choose have been done a million times before. So far they've kept things interesting, even though we clearly have threads of several well known horror stories going on -- The Shining, Rosemary's Baby, etc.

My cable bill was getting obscene so I had to dump all the premium channels. But I did see the first three episodes of this season and they were interesting. Now I just have to wait for DVD. I agree with you; the show better end with him getting caught. Or getting killed by another vigilante.

I'm a little bummed that they dropped the book's storyline regarding the children. In the books, Astor and Cody are the ones with Dark Passengers, and Dexter intends on training them with Harry's code.

Yes, let me please come over Boardwalk Empire with you.
The first season was a shaky one for me, I couldn't quite follow the complicated character driven alliances a la Deadwood style. But this season has been so good at drawing out the season 1 story lines in that perfect realist way that makes me: believe what they're showing me and care about what's going on.

Walking Dead could take a note or two from BE in this respect.

Oh and Kelly MacDonald......(*andIjizzedinmypants*)

I'm with you on the whole confusion thing...But this season is superior. I am in love with the sets, the clothes...I am in awe of the details.

BTW, is anyone watching Misfits? What are your thoughts on the new guy who replaces Nathan? I have my opinions but what are yours.
