KATG RSS Feed Change (Talkshoe vs libsyn)

Following on from http://www.keithandthegirl.com/forum...&highlight=rss

the feed just changed from libsyn to talkshoe for
http://KATG.com/rss

what's hapened?

plain and simple the shows moved house, if you want new stuff you need to go to the new address not the old.

For itunes to add a new feed and hopefully keep the old one.

heres how you get the new feed... click "Advanced" in the upper left of i-tunes, choose subscribe and it gives you a box where you can type in the new feed

http://katg.libsyn.com/rss

Where is the equivalent of http://shitecom.libsyn.com/ for the new talkshoe feed?

If you don't like talkshoes filenaming system and use juice you can find a perl script that will add the show name to the filename here.

plain and simple the shows moved house, if you want new stuff you need to go to the new address not the old.

I don't quite follow your words sir but I think I kinda had the same question.

Right now with the feed change, only the 10 most recent shows are availble, will the older shows come later? If not, will the libsyn feed keep excisting for that purpose? And if not, I better start making backups of the old shows before I lose em ^_^

Peash.

What kind of mp3 player doesn't like id3? I thought that besides compression, that was the whole point.

found a month old post on the talkshoe site, talkshoe don't seem to have addressed the issue.

Quote:
"Also, the downloaded MP3 filenames are completely useless from a listener's point of view..! Downloading a file named "TS-9531.mp3" -- with no ID3 tags to boot -- doesn't do much to help the user know what it is they've downloaded, let alone how it will look in their portable media player or desktop media software. From the host's point of view, it makes branding and show recognition impossible."
http://www.talkshoe.com/forum/commen...scussionID=197
so every show on talkshoe gets a random number filename and maybe no id3 tags.

this is not really keith or chemda's problem, if it bugs you:
