Yeah it's a great album. I couldn't get those five into any particular order, it was hard enough just to pick 5.

Maybe the thread should have called for some guilty pleasure music as well, I feel like half the responses are more in the "look how cool my music is" vein.

edited to add:
or maybe I'm just really not cool at all, lol

Honey's Dead - The Jesus and Mary Chain
Powers, Lies & Corruption - New Order
Back in Black - AC/DC (the album that got me into music. i think the production is what makes this album so enduring, it sounds like it was recorded yesterday)
Plastic Beach - Gorillaz (too early to tell i suppose but it's been forever since i've been this addicted to an album)
The Hold Steady discography - Boys and Girls in America if I absolutely have to choose.

Yeah, like it was recorded yesterday by a shitty band that happens to have a good guitarist.

Man, it's HARD to choose, at least between Separation Sunday and Boys and Girls...those are seriously two of the best albums ever recorded, ever.

I used to have terrible taste in music. My father's eyes welled up the other day when I told him about how much I was liking Led Zeppelin and Bowie's Low.

1. Low by David Bowie
2. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (because he yells and chants that you are not alone) by David Bowie
3. The Cream of Clapton (Various Eric Clapton bands)
4. Elephant by the White Stripes
5. AEnima by Tool
6. Fashion Nugget by Cake
7. The Best of Traffic by Traffic
8. London Calling The Clash
9. Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots The Flaming Lips
10. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band The Beatles

My top 10 most listened to songs:
1. White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane)
2. Otherside (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
3. Total Eclipse of the Heart (Bonnie Tyler)
4. Electric Feel (MGMT) (greatest song to climb stairs to ever)
5. Starman (David Bowie)
6. Gangster's Paradise (Coolio)
7. The Bad Touch (Bloodhound Gang)
8. Everytime We Touch (Cascada)
9. Forever Young (Alphaville)
10. Neath The Stars (Railroad Earth)

I listened to Weezer while sober recently. It was pretty good but "We Are All on Drugs" made me quit pot for almost half a week.

Fucking great album closer. If you haven't yet, listen to Hunky Dory. Recently usurped Ziggy as my favorite Bowie album.

I've been told that Hunky Dory is great. I bought it on the same day I bought Low. What are your favorite songs on it? or do you think it just flows great like Ziggy and Low?
