He's still alive as far as I know, although it would have little impact on my life if he was not alive, or in fact never had been.

He always explained it as satire. A ridiculous set of claims on which to base discrimination if you will. Stereotyping certain traits by way of ridiculing others. Things you have no control over. Not truly as an insult of people of diminutive stature.
