I thought this was going to be a Beastie Boys thread.

So let's make it one, I feel old, all the bands I grew up with are dying.....poor me

I actually did almost tear up when I heard about MCA. The Beastie Boys were probably one of the first popular groups I was interested in. My best friend and I used to lay on her roof and listen to Licensed to Ill.

Never a fan. They're my generation and I could never figure out what the fuck they were doing. I always hoped it was a parody. (Which is a nice tie in to the thread.)

But really sucks to die from cancer at 47. I sure hope I don't. It was in his salivary glands. Seems that smoking or chewing tobacco doesn't cause that. Odd.

I don't pretend to have been a Beastie Boys fan, but I've always liked "Sabotage" and "Body Movin'." Based on the videos for those songs, I'm going to say that there was definitely a sense of parody to the band (or, at least, they didn't take themselves entirely seriously).

i have a ftriend who is fighting with myltiple lyumphoma to his back. also my father had three recurring cancers to his liver. neither of them did anything to cause it. Also Yeuch made kinda of an announcement some time ago on how he supposedly beat the cancer.

i think at this point, science should admit that they havent discovered any cure, besides chemo and surgery which just slows it down and dont solve anything.
