How many back bedrooms are there in ballrooms? Plus, I'm not a wedding tart like you are :P

It's certainly possible to do it, but definitely unfair for the couple to ask and not a good idea if you haven't done it before.

At a friend's wedding they had a couple of our other friends doing the DJing. They had actually volunteered as the did enjoy DJing. But obviously they got pretty trashed and I think they told one of the bride's mother's friends to fuck off when she complained that the hardcore dance music was a little loud. Luckily it wasn't loud for too much longer as they then managed to blow the electricity in the pool house which was powering the sound system.

So maybe even if you have done it before its not a good idea unless you don't drink

I think DJs should be hired out, guests are guests and maybe someone from the wedding party with personality - or someone else close be the MC. But both - that is asking alot, plus a gift on top of that?

Mind you, we paid for a DJ and everything on our 'do not play list' was played. Have I mentioned my wedding was a gong show?

Just mho.

That qualifies as a gong show. How do these people keep their jobs?
