I had a brief moment of extra-christy-ness during my senior year of high school, freshman year of college. I'm glad my girlfriend at the time didn't dump me when I gave her a book about angels for our first christmas. Now we're married, I claim to be atheist, and we have wonderful discussions where she tries to disprove my assertion based on my level of compassion and respect for the religion and people. Usually intense, but in the end, it helps to distill the random angry and despairing thoughts in my head into a clearer sense of non-belief.

I love these rhetorical debates in which the construct is technically an agnostic Jew trying to talk an atheist ex-reorganized Mormon into being born again.

Have I mentioned that I think my wife is pretty awesome and I'm glad my retarded super-human-jesus-freak stage didn't scare her off???

congrats on your belief in a Star-Trek type of super being in an infinite universe where there are hypothetically infinite possibilities. And thank you for the Vonnegut/Palahniuk fortune cookie ending. Please post again when you move onto Hesse. At least you're out of the Celestine Prophesy phase

Kowalski, Smith, Lipner... Hey I can write last names too...

Please post again when you can add to a posting without the smug observationist categorization. Or not... free will and all.

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, I'd really enjoy perusing that mathematical proof.

Agreed. I enjoy having consciousness and the ability to explore the wonder around me, through reason.

True. We can take it one step further. In your one chance as a conscious being, try to accumulate and contribute as much truth as you can. Knowledge is timeless, especially with the electronic media.

Then at least move a couple of blocks away so I don't have to pass your house every time I go to work. I'm tired of having to heave bricks through your windows with notes tied to them that say "YOUR WINDOWS ARE MATHMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!"

Congratulations on your last name list. I observe only what I can see, and fortunately I'm looking in the mirror.

/puts self into category of "coolest ever to be observed by the observer"
