It's this retarded debating that shows just how useless religion and/or faith really is.

You may not have seen the sign when you walked in here, but this thread is about religion. If you'd like to debate the existence or non-existence of God(s), I'm sure there's a thread out there and if there isn't, you can start one.

Thanks, I was just about to bring up the concept of Satan. All religions are clever enough to architect the opposition as the ultimate evil.
My question is, would 'god' present truth through the fickle voice of a select few, backed only by a straw man, faith; or, would 'god' present itself, to all, through the verifiable laws and theories of the natural sciences? How would 'satan' chose to present itself? If one insists on relying on the concept of 'god', according to their own rules, it seems quite possible that followers have the two switched. This is why I promote Thomas Paine's idea of Deism. He writes that reason is the greatest gift of God, that science is learning the magnificence of God, and that the world itself makes any text that purports to be The Word redundant.
I cannot possibly see how Christianity is equally as healthy and reasonable as that religion. |
