Oh I was looking in top sellers or top preorders. I thought I heard katg mention that they were on the mover and shaker list but couldn't find it anywhere.

Picard, of course, is right. Amazon Sales Rank moves up and down throughout the week AND the day (updated hourly). The "first-week sales list" that they--and we-- care about is the New York Times Bestseller List. Specifically, the "Advice, How-to and Miscellaneous" list. Unknown authors get a huuuge boost when their books appear on these lists, because often it's the go-to reference for some people on what they should read. Also, in some cases, publishers reward authors with a monetary bonus if their book makes the list.

In any case, the list comes out on Sunday. Fingers crossed and buy books!!

Aussies, has anyone bought the book from a store here yet? I was looking for it online and the only site that had it was Borders (.au, obviously) and this is what came up:



Searching for "What Do We Do Now?" doesn't work, apparently it's not titled that here? What the fuck?

I shoved a copy into a coworker's hand after the package arrived and told her to buy a copy... she flipped through a few pages and couldn't stop laughing. She ended up buying one of MY copies, so I guess it's time to go shopping again

Went to Borders in Alameda, couldn't find it on the shelf and when I searched they were out of stock a long with a lot of other stores in the Bay. This means there must be a bunch of you buying them and I expect all of you at the meet up March 27th. ALL OF YOU.

Since there weren't any books to read thoughtfully or place in obvious locations I searched for the book on a few of the terminals and left the screen open.

I also thought any members of Book Crossing might want to "release" the book when they are done with it.
